8 Pork Sausages
1tbsp Oil
1 Tin Baked Beans
2 Carrots Diced
1 Onion Sliced
250ml Vegetable or Chicken Stock
1tsp Mustard
1tbsp Tomato Puree
Some might argue that this is the great English breakfast served up in another form and they might be right, but there’s still something about the casserole element that lends itself to the comfort food category. This is a great recipe to introduce children to the world of stews whilst still keeping some of their favourite ingredients so give our Sausage and Baked Bean Casserole a whirl.

8 Pork Sausages
1tbsp Oil
1 Tin Baked Beans
2 Carrots Diced
1 Onion Sliced
250ml Vegetable or Chicken Stock
1tsp Mustard
1tbsp Tomato Puree
1. Heat the oven to 180C/Gas Mark 5 and cook the sausages in an open casserole dish until brown. You may need to turn them a couple of times to ensure they’re brown all over.
2. Meanwhile, fry the onion in the oil in a large frying pan for a minute then add the diced carrots and fry for a further couple of minutes.
3. Add the tomato puree, baked beans, stock and mustard then heat through.
4. Once hot and the sausages are brown, spoon into the casserole dish on top of the sausages, cover and bake for 25 minutes.
5. Serve with rice, mash or warm crusty bread.
